Mmm... Easter Brownies

EASTER IS A GREAT TIME FOR BAKING!
Everyone loves brownies and with the abundance of mixes they are easy to make.   There is nothing wrong with using a mix, but you still want your brownies to be unique.   Pastel Jelly beans are a great way to add an Easter touch to your brownies. These particular brownies are using the Ghiradelli Brownie mix, which is my favorite.   They are rich and chocolatey.

To make them I used the Perfect Brownie Pan.   If you like the brownie edges, which most people, including myself do, the Perfect Brownie pan is the best.
You pour the mix into the pan, add the insert and all your brownies are edges (and pre-cut).   But if you don't like edges or don't want to purchase this great pan, you should make the brownies as normal, but still precut them before icing.  Try to make the brownies the same size as it will make the pattern look better.

Once your brownies are cut it is time to ice them.   Use a chocolate icing, whether canned or you make your own.   Spread a layer of the icing over the top of the brownies.  Then using a piping bag and a star tip, pipe a small little circle in the center of each brownie.

Take your Jelly Beans, in this case I used Sweet Tart Jelly Beans because of their light pastel color, and place 3 Jelly Beans around each circle of piped icing.  Mix up the colors for the best results.  When your all done you can dress it up even further by spreading pastel sprinkles across the iced brownies.  Then bring them to your family and everyone will enjoy these fun looking and tasty Easter treats.
