Simple Scrap-booking of New Years Past

When Scrapbooking, New Years Eve often provides great pictures and a lot of opportunities for fun pages using glittery paper and fun embellishment.

For a basic and easy page that has a New Years Glow, create a bubble letter font and cut the words out of sparkle paper (acid free).  I used gold letters to create my page because it matched the gold shirts that Jason and I wore to the parties. Then lay out your photos.  You can just do square photos or you can cut them out into collage style.  On this page I mixed and matched.  Add to the page by purchasing the Jolee's New Years embellishments and complete the page by adding the embellishments around the photo.  It is a simple way to make a festive page.  I think black is usually the best background for displaying the pictures from a New Years Eve Soiree.

For a more clean and fancy look that is nearly just as easy, try finding a fun font using Microsoft Word or Adobe programs. Print the font out and trace it onto sparkly paper (I used red in this case).  Add some shadowing for an even prettier look.  Using stencils I created balloons out the same sparkly red paper and a similar paper in gold.  Using the red paper to cut out squares the same size as your photos and zig zag them behind the photos.  This gives the page some dimension.
