How to Wrap a Golf Club

Giving a golf club this Christmas?  Don't want your loved one to know what it is while it sits under the tree waiting for Christmas morning? How about a disguise?  My family is very into golf and so they have come up with many different ways to disguise or have fun with wrapping a golf club.  Allow me to share...

1) Disguise it as a broom:  See this package coming at you and you know its a broom.  But don't be fooled, the presents inside the packaging.   There is no way to hide the club, so hide it behind the broom, attaching the staff to the broom's with rubber bands or wire.  You don't have to give them a broom in addition to the club.   Just use a house broom.

2) Hide it in PVC Pipe - Cut PVC pipe to the size of the golf club.  Don't have PVC pipe, try a wrapping paper tube.   If need be, use a connecting piece to put around the club. Then wrap it in white paper and wrap red ribbon around it, creating a candy cane.   Here's a hint: start in the middle when doing the candy cane ribbon and secure it to the white paper with glue or double sided tape.

 3) Use a square box around the head of the club - Find yourself a square box and fit it around the head of the club.   Then cut a whole in the box so the club has a place to come out of the box.   Put the head in the box.  Then wrap the box first, but make sure the wrapping paper seems on the side the club is coming out of.  Then wrap the pole.  It might still be obvious its a golf club, but its a clever package.

4) Not that crafty?  Use an oversized gift bag - All over you can buy gift bags for oversized presents.  Purchase one of these bags.  You can still disguise the club by surrounding it by padding inside the oversized bag.   I am sure you ordered something online this holiday season.  Save the padding that comes inside your package.  Or use old sheets or towels.
