I love to bake and so I have several cupcake stands laying around in my house. But lets face it, as often as I bake cupcakes, most of the time the stands sit empty. So why not use them in other ways... like a beautiful holiday centerpiece.
This cupcake stand came from Home Goods. If you head there soon there are still tons just like it in black and white.
So take your cupcake stand and fill it with ornaments. I don't recommend glass because they break, so plastic would probably be best. Get sparkly ornaments or shiny ones, or a mixture of both. How about ornament shaped candles? Or do a mixture of ornament shaped candles and ornaments.

You don't have to have my cupcake stand to make this centerpiece. All you need is a pretty cupcake stand and a bunch of plastic ornament balls. It doesn't matter what cupcake stand you use, though it works better if it forms a small cup around the cupcake, because the ornaments won't roll off the stand. A flat stand, like the one with the gems, might be more difficult to use with the plastic ball ornaments. You could, instead, use ornaments with flat bottoms (made for decorations) or candles shaped like ornaments.
